It's the end of one year and the beginning of another. I'm staked out in Nola for New Years and I could not be happier. We're gonna try our damnedest to get back her next year and even make it our permanent residence.

I've never wanted to make love to a city before, but I spent most of last night humping New Orleans' street lamps as way to prove to my husband how much I feel alive and full of love for it's dirty, broken up little streets.

As for design--gigposters, music, branding excursions, adventures in Nola and a heck of a lot of photography are coming my way in 08.

Look for changes in the next 12 months--I learned a few things in 07 and I'm hopeful for the future.

I guess I'll leave with the self-indulgence of my top five songs from 2007. I ain't a music expert-- so I'm not basing this on anything but the songs I loved this year.

Also, wish me luck on staying awake past 11pm tonight-my hubby bets I don't last.
Good luck to everyone and take care (xoxoxoxox).

1. Marry Me (St. Vincent)
2. How Deep is Your Love (The Bird and the Bee--cover of the Bee Gees'song)
3. The News From Your Bed (Bishop Allen)
4. For Agent 13 (The Besnard Lakes)
5. Sad Sad City (Ghostland Observatory)
